The first call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for SBAS testbed demonstrator projects was released on 31 March 2017 and closed on Friday 28 April 2017. We’ve evaluated the submissions and have identified some novel and high impact ideas that will clearly explore and demonstrate the benefits of the SBAS technologies. We are currently evaluating approximately 20 invited project proposals and aim to have some testbed demonstrator projects starting soon. Industry areas that will benefit from this first round include aviation, agriculture, consumer, construction, maritime, rail, resources, road, spatial and utilities.

Several sector gaps were identified from the first call and a second call for EOIs will be open in September. For this second call, we are targeting specific sectors where gaps have been identified from the first call. We invite any interested organisations to submit EOIs specific to the following sectors: construction, utilities, resources, agriculture (horticulture) and consumer (including any health and welfare projects). Proposals in the following sectors will not be considered: aviation, road, rail and maritime. The second call will be open on 1 September 2017, with all EOI submissions due by 5pm AEST on Friday 29 September. The EOI form can be found here.
