The Victorian Government, through its Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), intends to develop a digital reporting system (DRS) to support major reform of the Victorian State of Environment (SOE) reporting process.

The project will adopt a three-stage progressive piloting approach to test assertions and validate the DRS architecture in the lead up to the full development and deployment of an operational SOE system within government in 2018.

Three Stages

Stage 1: Development of core generic reporting functions and generation of State of the Bays Report 2016 for coastal, marine and aquatic environment. Due for completion in December 2016.

Stage 2: Tool extension in terrestrial environment for use in Victorian Catchment Condition and Management Report 2017. Due for completion December 2017.

Stage 3: Consolidation of coastal and marine tools with terrestrial and extension of reporting functions for 2018 SOE reporting purposes. Due for completion June 2018.
