Peter WoodgatePeter Woodgate
CEO

Peter Woodgate is the Chief Executive Officer of the CRCSI.

Prior to this he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Geospatial Science Initiative at RMIT University, where he helped create RMIT’s first spin-off company, Spatial Vision Pty Ltd, RMIT’s Risk & Community Safety Research Centre and the Global Sustainability Institute. He had many years in Victorian public service, where he helped lead the development of various business units in the natural resource and spatial information area.

Mary Sue SevernMary Sue Severn
Director CRCSI New Zealand

Mary Sue has an extensive and diverse background of over 20 years in business consulting and project management. She most recently worked as a Business Development Manager for Midas Infomedia in Wellington, managing customer relationships to develop new business opportunities. Prior to Midas, Mary Sue managed accounts and business development activities at Critchlow Limited and The Simpl Group. Mary Sue studied Radio and Television Broadcasting at Conestoga College in her native Canada. Mary Sue’s leadership role further solidifies Land Information New Zealand’s commitment to the Australian and New Zealand geospatial community.
Clive Fraser

Research Director

Clive is the Research Director of the CRCSI. he is also a Professor in the Dept of Geomatics at The University of Melbourne. His research interests are digital close-range photogrammetry, industrial measurement systems and the metric exploitation of high-resolution satellite imagery.

Clive was Reader and Head of the Department of Geomatics from 1993 to 98, and for 10 years  prior to that was Vice President of Geodetic Services, Inc. in Florida, the World’s leading company in industrial photogrammetric systems and services. He was part-time Technical Director of Geomatic Technologies Pty Ltd from 1998 to 2001 and is a Director of Photometrix Pty Ltd.

Graeme KernichGraeme Kernich
Business Manager

Graeme is the Deputy CEO. He is responsible for operational facets of the CRC, including financial management and reporting, research project progress, developing and implementing commercialisation plans, and CRC intellectual property management.

Graeme worked at RMIT University from 2000 to 2004 identifying technologies for commercial exploitation and facilitating their transfer, primarily in Biotechnology and Information Technology.  He negotiated commercial agreements, implemented commercial strategies with alliance partners and provided assistance in intellectual property management, project planning and route-to-market strategies. 

Mike Ridout

Mike Ridout
Communications Director

Michael is the CRCSI Communications Director and his primary role is to manage the relationships amongst the shareholders and participants of the CRCSI. He is also responsible for the SME alliance of the 43 Pty Ltd members; coordinating the Education Program; and the corporate web sites and related promotional activities.

He joined CRCSI in the set up phase in April 03, from the CRC for Renewable Energy where he was Executive Officer - Business Development. He set up and was responsible for the operations, for research investment management and was company secretary for the incorporated entity. Prior to this Michael worked for commercial arms of universities, establishing commercial ventures based on academic technology and expertise.
