Nathan Makes CRCA ECR Final
Nathan Quadros earned a Finals place in the CRC Association's Early Career Researcher Awards for 2013. His video entry, 'Mapping The Coastline', was chosen for the top six from the biggest field of entries the competition has received to date. The Association’s Chair reported “we've had a record number of entries and the judges had a really difficult time choosing the finalists”, further demonstrating the high calibre of Nathan’s work.
You can find Nathan’s research video on the Urban Digital Elevation Modelling page.
Nathan talked about his journey from PhD student to full time CRCSI researcher at the CRCA’s “Collaborate Innovate” conference in Melbourne. He was also presented with a Finalist certificate at the conference dinner, along with a cheque for $1000.
Congratulations are also in order to Ebadat Ghanbari Parmehr of the University of Melbourne and Susanna Cramb of Queensland University of Technology for submitting entries to the competition. We commend your initiative and putting together engaging entries.
We look forward to further CRCSI competition in next year’s CRCA Early Career Researcher awards. CRCSI students will also have the chance to present their research at the Student Day of the Annual Conference in New Zealand in November. The top-voted presenters on the day will then have the opportunity to present to a wider audience during the main conference days.
