Curtin appoints new DVC (R&D)
Curtin University has appointed Professor Graeme Wright to the position of deputy vice-chancellor, research and development (DVC R&D).
Professor Wright began his career at Curtin University in 1991 as a lecturer in spatial sciences, before obtaining his PhD in 2000. In 2004, he was appointed head of spatial sciences.
Since then, he has held senior roles including executive dean of the Faculty of Resources and Environment, associate DVC (research training) and now DVC R&D.
He is also currently a Curtin representative on several successful research centre boards, including the Rio Tinto Centre for Materials and Sensing in Mining, the Centre for Exploration Targeting, and a non-executive director of the CRC for Spatial Information
