Nathan Quadros works across Rapid Spatial Analytics (RSA), education and business development.
As the RSA Program Manager Nathan is responsible for developing the CRCIS's RSA research strategy and investment. This
compliments his Business Development responsibilities for bringing new research opportunities into the CRCSI, with a primary focus on partner investment in Program 2.
As the Education Manager Nathan looks after the network of up to 40 PhD students across seven universities in Australia and New Zealand, ensuring the students are well connected to each other and the CRCSI network.
Nathan has a role in airborne LiDAR research and project management. He is the project lead on the Victorian Rivers mapping project with the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning for the extraction of rivers from LiDAR data.
Recently, Nathan managed and designed the J.K. Barrie award winning Sea Level Rise Capacity Building Project delivered to Tonga, PNG, Vanuatu and Samoa, which included LiDAR surveys along with the training and capacity building for government departments to use the data for coastal inundation planning and management.
Nathan has also managed recent LiDAR acquisitions on the Gold Coast Queensland, and advised on a project in Western Port Victoria. He is currently providing advice to the World Bank on LiDAR acquisitions in Samoa and Bangladesh.
