Prof Matt Duckham


Matt Duckham is Professor and Deputy Head of the School of Mathematical and Geospatial Sciences, RMIT University. He previously held a position as Professor in the Department of Infrastructure Engineering, University of Melbourne, having moved to Melbourne from the National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis (NCGIA) at the University of Maine, USA. His research centres on spatial computing, in particular with uncertain information and with applications to sensor networks, environmental monitoring, or emergency response. He is author of the book "Decentralized Spatial Computing" and with Mike Worboys coauthor of the GIS textbook, "GIS: A Computing Perspective".
