Chris brings to the CRCSI extensive experience from the Queensland Government across digital survey data, business development and best practice survey methodologies. With a background in surveying and spatial information systems, Chris has worked in a variety of roles, from geodetic surveying, consulting on Spatial Data Infrastructure for local councils, managing surveys and modelling for dam and pipeline construction for water companies, to her most recent role as a Business Manager for the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines to implement the Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping (ICSM) ePlan project. Her main areas of interest are in surveying and spatial policy, and positioning systems and infrastructure leading to dynamic datum and coordinated cadastres.

Chris is currently the President of the Queensland Spatial and Surveying Association, and was recognised this year by xyHt as one of the 40 under 40 geospatial leaders. She has also previously been awarded the APSEA Young Professional of the Year and the Office for Women Young Achievers Awards. Chris holds a Bachelor of Surveying and Spatial Information Systems (Hons) and a Master of Engineering Science from UNSW.
