Nicole White has joined the research team, having just submitted her PhD thesis in Bayesian biostatistics, and PhD student, Su Yun Kang, has been granted a CRCSI top-up scholarship, focussing on developing and comparing point-based and region-based spatial and spatio-temporal models.
The Queensland Cancer Atlas has been completed and published, incorporating new Bayesian models arising from the project.
The project won best poster award at SSAI “YoungStats” conference in July 2011 and published several articles.
