The detailed project plan has been revised and finalised, with a three week field campaign planned for September. Ground sampling protocols for forest area have been developed.
A week was spent in Adelaide to establish an operational image-processing workflow through meetings with personnel from the University of Adelaide, Flinders University/Airborne Research Australia, and the Defence Science and Technology Organisation. The team also visited the NSW Land and Property Information Mobile Acquisition and Processing Station (MAPS) facility in Bathurst, as part of the CRCSI Disaster Management Project.
Links are being explored with the new CRCSI woody vegetation biomass primitives project, to build on synergies and avoid duplication, perhaps commencing with a Melbourne workshop.
