- Biomass Business has 3 new PhD students: Charity Mundava WA), Angelica Aldana (NSW) and Niva Verma (NSW). They have all finalised enrolments and will commence their projects in the coming months.
- CRCSI staff hosted the successful 2nd ANZ Spatially Enabled Livestock Symposium (Gold Coast, Qld). 60 delegates attended including representatives of Australia’s top 2 livestock producers (NAPCO and AACo). Derek Bailey (New Mexico Uni) presented on the status of US R&D.
- Project Leader David Lamb presented keynote ‘Precision Agriculture – A View to the Future’ at an outlook conference hosted by Lincoln University, and included a contribution from the NZ Agriculture Minister, Right Honourable David Carter, 11th Aug.
- David Lamb presented a keynote “Precision Agriculture-Pastures for profit” at Heritage Seeds Field days, Howlong, NSW 31st Aug - 2nd Sept.
