Partners

There are three categories that organisations can become a member of the CRCSI.

These categories are known as essential participants, support partners and additional partners.

Essential Participants are those who make substantial cash and in kind commitments to influence the work program and achievements of the CRCSI, and are willing to be part of the organisation for the long term. Essential participant organisations are involved in:

  • Participating in the process of selecting Board directors and nomination of individuals for possible appointment to the Board and its committees and taskforces including the Project Boards that guide individual projects
  • Beneficial interest in the CRCSI generated intellectual property (IP) based on respective cumulative cash contributions to the CRCSI and are able to use any CRCSI owned IP for its own internal purposes
  • Exclusive first rights to bid for commercialisation rights of IP
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of the CRCSI under Board guidance
  • Research and other projects across the CRCSI portfolio and have depth within a certain area of the CRCSI programs
  • Attending the annual conference of the CRCSI to learn about the latest research developments and to actively network.

Support Partners provide cash and in kind resources to the CRCSI and usually have a short term approach to investment. Support partners have access to:

  • Input to the CRCSI through forums, the annual conference and stakeholder reviews
  • Participating in projects across the CRCSI portfolio
  • At Board discretion:
    • Second right of refusal to IP and commercialisation processes
    • To nominate people for consideration for the Board and the CRCSI committees.

Additional Partners collaborate less formally with the CRCSI through project participation, conference attendance and memorandums of understanding. These organisations commit cash or in kinds contributions to the CRCSI over a year.
