The ASC is a valuable forum in which the core players in spatial information can explore common interests and accelerate their collective achievements.
It was conceived in March 2007 to provide “A consortium to accelerate the unlocking of the potential of spatial information for economic, environmental and social benefit for Australia within key industries, and the development of tools, new technologies and capabilities relating to the fundamental future needs of the nation.”

Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) Australia and New Zealand Division promotes the benefits of geospatial technologies for the management of infrastructure assets and has the majority of electricity, water and gas utilities, as well as leading telecommunications and transportation corporations, throughout Australia and New Zealand as members
PSMA Australia Ltd is jointly owned by the governments of Australia for integrating and supplying government data to end users. It has a strong track record in providing integrated spatial products and in partnering with the private sector to further the adoption of spatial information
Spatial Industries Business Association (SIBA) is the peak employer body representing the spatial information industry. SIBA encourages the use of spatial information and technologies in government and the wider business community; promotes the engagement of private sector companies to undertake spatial information and technology activities; and identifies emerging opportunities for the sector
